What the reports show

One Keyword, Measured Twice on the Same Grid

Both scans cover a 9 × 9 grid across a five-mile radius — 81 separate searches for “long distance moving services”, each run from a different point around Uptown Houston, each recording where Transit Moving Systems appeared in the Google Maps results.

The two reports use the same keyword, the same radius and the exact same grid centre, so the numbers below compare like with like. They were taken 17 months apart, on 21 February 2025 and 14 July 2026.

Two numbers carry most of the meaning: the share of the grid where the business sits in the top three, and where it ranks against every other mover Google returns.

Exhibit 01 · Seventeen months

“long distance moving services”

In February 2025 the business reached the top three at a single point, the one sitting on its own office. Ten points returned nothing in the top 20 at all, and across most of the grid it sat between fifth and fifteenth. By July 2026 it held first place at 16 points and the top three at 31, with a solid block of first places through the centre of the grid, from Hunters Creek Village across to River Oaks and West University Place.

The edges are still the weak part. The northern and southern rows of the July grid sit between ninth and twentieth, and two corner points remain unranked. This is a strong position at the centre of the market rather than a finished one across all of it.

The competitive picture

Nineteenth to First, Against More Than a Hundred Movers

Both reports rank every competitor found in the market by Share of Local Voice, which makes this a position that can be stated rather than implied.

In February 2025, Transit Moving Systems sat nineteenth of 108 tracked companies, 41.98 Share of Local Voice points behind the leader. In July 2026 it sat first of 105 — the report’s own words are “You are the market leader”.

The nearest competitor in the July report holds 24.69 points with 622 reviews. Transit leads it with 69, which says more about where the business shows up than about review volume alone.

What produced it

The Work Behind the Grid

Long-distance moving is a crowded local category. The February scan found 108 competing businesses inside a five-mile radius of Uptown Houston; most hold no measurable share at all — 78% of them in that report — which means the real contest is between a couple of dozen companies, fought on proximity and prominence.

In February the report flagged the profile’s reviews as the clearest gap: a 4.0 rating from 21 reviews, against competitors rated 4.6 to 4.9. By July the profile stood at 4.8 from 69. Review velocity and entity consistency carry the Map Pack side, which is the work described on our Google Maps optimization page.

Exhibit 02 · A second keyword

“long distance movers in houston”

A scan of a second keyword on the same 9 × 9 grid and five-mile radius, run on 10 November 2025, found the same picture: market leader of 95 tracked companies, a 38.27% Share of Local Voice and an average rank position of 5.07.

We show this one on its own. The earlier scan of this search, in March 2025, used a slightly different keyword (“long distance movers houston”) and a 4.1-mile radius, so the two are not the same measurement and we do not present them as a before and after.
